Located in the iconic Rockefeller Center, NARO comes from husband-and-wife team chef Junghyun “JP” & CEO Ellia Park of NA:EUN Hospitality (Atomix, Atoboy, ACRU). NARO reimagines the Korean classics of JP and Ellia’s heritage through a contemporary lens, while honoring the rich foundations of Korean cooking. A blend of traditional techniques, thoughtful sourcing and ingredient seasonality crafts an approachable experience that captures the depth of Korean flavors.
An a la carte lunch and dinner menu caters to all occasions, from power lunches and feasts with friends to date night at the bar. The menu selection includes hot and cold appetizers, comforting rice bowls and hearty entrees. NARO signatures include soy-marinated salmon with kohlrabi noodles and the beloved friend chicken sandwich with lemon aioli, pickled carrots and perilla, in addition to a large-format braised short rib with cherry tomatoes and ginkgo nuts. Housemade ice creams including green plum and chamomile are joined by a playful strawberry shortbread ice cream sandwich, and a Korean twisted donut with banana custard and sesame nougatine. The NARO beverage program, led by Jhonel Faelner, highlights a variety of Korean spirits, or sool, both on their own and in creative craft cocktails. A deep international wine list and distinctive low-ABV and non-alcoholic selections add to NARO’s inventive drinks list.
NARO is open seven days a week for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Two and three-course set lunch menus are available for $39 and $48 (including dessert) respectively, while a five-course tasting menu selected by chef is available at dinner only for $125.
