New York is gearing up to host one of golf’s most anticipated events: the 2025 Ryder Cup. Unlike the PGA Championship or other majors on the PGA Tour, this legendary competition is all about collaboration and rivalry—Team USA versus the European Team—in three days of dramatic match play and foursomes.
Following the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, this year’s Ryder Cup will be played September 26–28 on Long Island’s Bethpage Black Course, one of the most iconic public golf courses in the country. But the excitement won’t be limited to Farmingdale—Rockefeller Center will transform into a 2025 Ryder Cup fan hub, home to the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of America’s Ryder Cup Live, a four-day celebration with free immersive experiences, watch parties, and exclusive activations.
The Ryder Cup Live pop-up will include must-try immersive experiences for golfers and curious New Yorkers alike, ranging from golf challenges to immersive activations, and even surprise guest appearances.
This year, team Europe aims to reclaim their title from the last tournament in Rome in 2023—and both teams feature their respective highest-ranked pros. Led by captain Luke Donald, the European team roster includes Captain’s Picks and heavyweights like Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood, Robert MacIntyre, Justin Rose, Sepp Straka, Ludvig Åberg, and Shane Lowry.
Still, the U.S. team has the home course advantage at Bethpage Black with a superstar team that’s heading into the competition with higher stats. Captain Keegan Bradley’s picks include Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Justin Thomas, J.J. Spaun, and Collin Morikawa. Rumors even swirl about legends like Tiger Woods playing an ambassadorial role for the U.S. side.
However the competition shakes out, it will be well worth experiencing from Rockefeller Center.
“Ryder Cup Live provides unprecedented opportunities for spectators to take part in the spirit of the 2025 Ryder Cup,” PGA of America Chief Commercial and Philanthropy Officer Jeff Price said in a statement shared with The Center Magazine about the celebration produced in partnership with experiential event experts, GDX Studios. He adds that the “high-energy experience at Rockefeller Center” is the perfect way to “watch the drama unfold at Bethpage Black and be part of the action in a whole new way.”
The festivities kick off on the opening ceremony day on Thursday, September 25, and run through the three days of the tournament from Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28, opening to the public for free all four days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Ryder Cup Live at Rockefeller Center will take place at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, located at Rockefeller Plaza between 49th and 50th Streets, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Thursday, September 25 through Sunday, September 28.

Young golf fans can join the fun on Saturday, September 27 with PGA Jr. League Day at Rockefeller Center. Kids who wear their official PGA Jr. League jerseys will unlock VIP perks, including priority access to the First Tee simulator.
